Walt Disney character Minnie Mouse is adding a pantsuit to her wardrobe in honor of Women's History Month.

In a statement on Thursday, Disney said Minnie Mouse's latest outfit will be unveiled in March to help commemorate two different dates, International Women's Day and the 30th anniversary of Disneyland Paris. The company also shared a first look at the outfit, a blue tuxedo adorned with black polka dots.

British-based designer Stella McCartney, who created the look, said in a statement that "this new take on her signature polka dots makes Minnie Mouse a symbol of progress for a new generation."

"Minnie has always had a special place in my heart," McCartney said. "We share the same values. What I love about Minnie is the fact that she embodies happiness, self-expression, authenticity and that she inspires people of all ages around the world. Plus, she has such great style!"

She added that Minnie Mouse's pantsuit had been designed using "responsibly sourced fabrics."

Minne's new look comes a week after Mars, Incorporated, announced that its famed M&M characters will be getting more modern makeovers and will have more "nuanced personalities".

Minnie Mouse donned pants for the first time in 2019, when Disney debuted Captain Minnie Mouse and a new set of nautical youth programs aimed at encouraging young girls to pursue a career in the cruise industry.
