Minnesota Grandparents Have Icy Water Gun Fight in Frigid Temperatures

Grandparents in Graceville, Minnesota, had a frigid water-gun fight on the morning of February 24, following a winter storm that brought up to 12 inches of snow and extreme cold to the state.

Carol Bauer recorded this video and told Storyful she and her husband tried a version of this last year and had so much fun they decided to do it again.

“When we saw the forecast for -20, the plan was to do this,” she said. “It was nice to get out after being shut in from the blizzard yesterday.”

The video shows Bauer and her husband squirting water guns at each other, and as soon as the water hits the air, it freezes, creating a snowy mist.

The National Weather Service reported a windchill of -40 degrees Fahrenheit in Graceville, and -45 F in other parts of Minnesota. Credit: Carol Bauer via Storyful
