Milwaukee native Grace Weber prepares for Packers anthem gig by rehearsing in walk-in freezer

Grammy Award-winning songwriter and recording artist Grace Weber, a Wauwatosa native now based in Los Angeles, is preparing herself to sing the national anthem at Saturday's Green Bay Packers playoff game in a perfect way — by rehearsing in a walk-in freezer.

The wind chill factor is expected to feel 2 below zero when the Packers and San Francisco 49ers kick off at 7:15 p.m. Saturday in the divisional round of the NFC playoffs at Lambeau Field.

"I realized I really don't know what it's like to sing in freezing temperatures," Weber said in a video she posted to Instagram. "So, I decided we're going to rehearse in a freezer."

Weber performs some bars of the tune in the freezer within the video.

Weber released a new album, "A Beautiful Space," last summer with Chance the Rapper's creative team. The R&B artist had previously been signed to Capitol Records.

Weber won a Grammy Award in 2017 for her writing on "All We Got," a song that appeared on Chance the Rapper's winner for Best Rap Album, "Coloring Book."

She called the opportunity to sing at Lambeau a "literal dream come true."
