Milo Ventimiglia's fun 'This Is Us' game he plays with the troops

Milo Ventimiglia stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! before the premiere of his new film The Art of Racing in the Rain and, while there, he told Jimmy Kimmel about the fun This Is Us activity he plays with the troops while on a USO tour. Ventimiglia explained that during one show, in which his friend friend Wilmer Valderrama was the emcee, other celebrities like Olympic snowboarder Shaun White gave an inspirational speech, while singer Kellie Pickler sang. When it came to Ventimiglia, the actor said the audience asked, "You're going to act?" "I kind of embraced that and leaned into it and went 'yes, I'm going to act,'" Ventimiglia explained to Kimmel. "So I got up on stage when it was my turn in front of, you know, the troops, and I said, you know, 'You folks are always so great about showing me what it is that you do, I thought it might be fun if one of you guys or gals saw what it is that I do. Is there anyone on the stage that wants to come up and perform a scene from This Is Us with me?'" For those of you who aren't big fans of the extremely successful NBC show, Jack Pearson is the ultimate TV husband and dad. It's no surprise that the troops line up for a chance to act alongside Ventimiglia. Even if they have to play his wife. "I'd always get them to go for the biggest dude, and I'd bring him up on stage. I'm like, 'Hey, man, I'm Milo, nice to meet you. You're gonna be playing Rebecca, my wife, who's pregnant, it's my birthday and she does a sexy dance for me,'" explained Ventimiglia. Ventimiglia recently received his third consecutive Emmy nomination for his role as Jack Pearson on This Is Us and, even though his USO tour performances aren't the real thing, he explained how he stays committed to his role. "I had a few Marines that were just going for it, high voice, and dancing, and I'd take one of the BDUs and stuff it under there, and they'd be pregnant, and USO bandanas for, yeah," shared Ventimiglia.
