2021 Big Ten women's basketball tournament schedule, scores and more

The field is set for the 2021 Big Ten women’s basketball tournament.

Thirteen teams will compete in the five-day event at Bankers Life Fieldhouse beginning Tuesday, as Ohio State — which finished with the sixth-best record in conference play — will sit out on a self-imposed postseason ban.

The champion will be determined by the final at 2 p.m. Saturday (ESPNU), with the rest of the Big Ten’s NCAA tournament hopefuls having to wait until the 64-team field is announced Monday. Both Michigan and Michigan State are projected to make the tournament, which will be held entirely in the San Antonio area this season.

Game 1: No. 12 Illinois 67, No. 13 Wisconsin 42

Wednesday’s second round

Game 2: No. 8 Nebraska 72, No. 9 Minnesota 61

Game 3: No. 5 Northwestern 67, No. 12 Illinois 42

Game 4: No. 7 Michigan State 75, No. 10 Penn State 66

Thursday’s quarterfinals
