Michigan State wide receiver Jayden Reed has been putting on a show at the Senior Bowl this week, where he’s showcased his ability to get separation and impressive speed (he’s posted the fastest speed at 20.08 mph).

In an interview with CHGO’s Nicholas Moreano, Reed had nothing but praise for Bears quarterback Justin Fields. And it sounds like Reed would welcome the opportunity to play with Fields at the NFL level.

“I love Justin Fields,” Reed said. “Man, c’mon, throw me the pill. I’mma run deep, and, you know what I’m saying, meet me in the end zone.”

Reed praised Fields for his versatility, where he can run, pass and make something out of nothing with his playmaking ability.

“He got a really strong arm,” Reed said. “He can throw the deep ball. It’s a lot of his game that I love.”

It’s clear Fields has a fan in Reed.

“Very good player,” Reed said. “He’s probably my favorite player on the Bears. One hundred percent.”

Here’s what ESPN’s Todd McShay had to say about Reed’s big week in Mobile:

Reed, meanwhile, entered the week as a fourth-round prospect for me after catching 55 passes for 636 yards and five TDs this season, but I’m not sure he gets out of Day 2 now. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up a second-rounder. He showed great release off the line of scrimmage, and the play speed is absolutely there. Reed made multiple plays going up and getting the ball downfield, and his play just popped among the receivers.

The Bears will be looking to add more playmakers around Fields this offseason, and Reed is certainly a name that bears watching in the mid rounds.
