Mentor 4th annual Career Bound: College Internship and Job Fair set for Dec. 20

Dec. 2—Current college students and recent college graduates are invited to participate in the fourth annual Career Bound: College Intern and Job Fair scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m., Dec. 20, at Mentor Paradigm, 6477 Center St. in Mentor.

The event serves to connect jobseekers to work opportunities in the community, officials noted, adding attendance may secure a 2023 summer internship or permanent position.

Participating companies include Lincoln Electric; Dollar Bank; Fredon Corp.; Component Repair Technologies and more. Positions being recruited include engineering co-ops, business management, and accounting professionals, to name a few.

"It is important to showcase the great companies we have in Lake County to our home-grown young professionals, and this event is a great collaboration with just that intent," said County Commissioner John Hamercheck.

"Maintaining strong connections with past graduates and residents in the area is imperative for the continued growth and success of Northeast Ohio," said Mentor Schools Director of Business Partnerships Joe Glavan, who also serves as director of Lake Shore Compact.

"We are proud of relationships developed over the past three years from bringing together past, area students and local businesses," he added. "We believe Northeast Ohio offers some of the best educational and business opportunities in the state, and we are excited to hear from our former students and connect them with local employers."

County Commissioner Mark Tyler added, "I am glad our community can come together to make this happen again."

The fair is sponsored by a public-private partnership that includes OhioMeansJobs Lake County, the Lake County commissioners and Mentor Schools.
