Memphis Grizzlies score vs. Detroit Pistons: live updates

The Memphis Grizzlies have played complimentary basketball during a four-game winning streak. This is the first time this season that both the offense and defense are rated in the top 10.

One of those four wins came against the Detroit Pistons, the team Memphis will matchup against tonight.

While the Pistons (7-20) and Grizzlies (16-9) are two of the youngest teams in the NBA, they're trending in different directions. Memphis has championship aspirations while Detroit's season is focused on seeing their stars take the next steps in their development.

The Grizzlies won the first meeting 122-112. Ja Morant had the highest scoring quarter of his career when accounted for 21 points in the third.

Pistons star Cade Cunningham missed the first matchup and remains sidelined with a foot injury. Jake LaRavia is doubtful to play for Memphis. Desmond Bane and Danny Green remain out.

Steven Adams is also listed as questionable. Adams did not play in the first meeting against the Pistons. Considering Brandon Clarke had 14 points and 14 rebounds in that game, the Grizzlies could overcome Adams' absence, but his rebounding dominance would shine against the 25th ranked rebounding team in the NBA.
