Meghan Markle wasn’t treated like a “Black woman” prior to her relationship with Prince Harry, the former actress says on the couple’s new Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan.”

The “Suits” alum, who is biracial, says on the second episode that people “are very aware of my race because they made it such an issue in the U.K.,” but that her Los Angeles upbringing was completely different.

“Most people didn’t treat me like a Black woman,” Meghan says.

The six-part show, which premiered its first three Thursday, delves into the relationship between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, whose 2018 nuptials were watched around the globe.

During the series, Meghan says Harry’s 2017 proposal was effectively an “orchestrated reality show.” The couple also reveal they met on Instagram after Harry saw a video of his friend and Meghan using a dog-eared Snapchat filter.

“I was like, who is that?” he recalled, with Meghan saying she checked out his page prior to exchanging numbers.

The prince wasn’t as smooth, however, ahead of their first date in London in 2016.

“I was panicking, I was freaking out. I started sweating,” said Harry, who kept telling Meghan he was “so sorry” to be delayed by traffic.

Initially assuming Harry’s tardiness was due to an “ego,” Meghan didn’t expect they would have much of a future, but says he was “so sweet” and “genuinely so embarrassed” upon arrival.

“He was just so fun,” Meghan said. “Just so refreshingly fun, and that was the thing: We were, like, childlike together.”
