5 outfits we predict Meghan Markle has packed for the South Africa royal tour

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with their four-month-old son, Archie, arrived in South Africa on Monday for their first royal tour as a family of three.

The 10-day tour will see the couple visit Cape Town and Johannesburg, as well as Harry venture to Botswana, Angola and Malawi. Whilst many are excited to see the Sussexes as a family, fashion fans are also waiting in anticipation to get a glimpse of Meghan’s stylish tour wardrobe.

Having already carried out a 16-day royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga in 2018, as well as a three-day tour of Morocco in February 2019, we’ve already got a good idea of Meghan’s stylish wardrobe staples.

From sustainable shoes to tailored blazers and princess-worthy evening gowns, here are all the items we predict Meghan has packed for the royal tour of South Africa.

For the day: Skinny jeans and a blazer

It is no secret that Meghan has a penchant for a pair of black skinny jeans and a blazer.

The 38-year-old wore the combination numerous times during the couple’s tour of Australia in 2018.

Denim brands she highlighted included Aussie label, Outland Denim, as well as US brands Mother Denim and J Crew.

The new mum also chose to wear blazers by US brands Altuzarra and L’Agence, plus a design from her friend Serena Williams’ eponymous fashion line.

We’re sure the smart/casual ensemble will make an appearance at least once during the tour of South Africa.

For walkabouts: A trusty trench coat

During Meghan’s tour of Australia and New Zealand, a trench coat was her go-to item of outerwear: From wearing a classic beige silhouette by Australian designer, Martin Grant, to switching to a modern checked style for the couple’s first New Zealand appearance.

If there’s a chill in the air, we’re sure a trusty trench will put in an appearance.

The practical footwear: Veja trainers

For any outdoor pursuits, Meghan’s trendy and sustainable Veja trainers may make another appearance.

When it comes to evening ensembles, Meghan may pay homage to South Africa by wearing local designers.

However, she could also stick to her trusty favourites, which so far have included Oscar de la Renta, Safiyaa, Dior, Gabriela Hearst, and her wedding dress designer, Givenchy.

On previous tours, a regal caped silhouette has been her style of choice.
