Meghan Markle shows off two new rings with a special meaning

Meghan Markle already has three beautiful diamond rings she wears on her left ring finger, but the Duchess of Sussex recently debuted two new rings on her other hand that hold a sweet and significant meaning.

While attending a round table discussion on gender equality at Windsor Castle with Prince Harry last week, Meghan appeared to be wearing two gold rings by Canadian jewelry brand Vargas Goteo. According to PEOPLE, the duchess sported the High Seas Bow Knot Ring and the Manta Kiss Stack Ring.

The latter is inspired by the Manta ray, a species native to tropical waters that's been categorized as "vulnerable" on the IUCN Red List. With each purchase of the ring, $50 of proceeds are donated to Manta Trust, a UK-based organization that supports conservation, research and education.

Vargas Goteo was founded in 2010 by Alex Prijic Smith and aims to create sustainable statement pieces that support conservation efforts. The brand currently has an entire line that benefits the Manta Ray species, as well as other pieces inspired by sharks, elephants and the reef.

“To see my work out there and on such a remarkable woman really is a dream come true,” Prijic Smith told PEOPLE. “Meghan always exudes ease and elegance, refinement and a freshness in everything she steps out in — I loved what she wore!”

Meghan is a known advocate for animal welfare, as the official patron of Mayhew in the UK, and has worked with Prince Harry on conservation efforts throughout Africa.

"Look, the rest of our lives, especially our life's work, will be predominantly focused on Africa, on conservation," Prince Harry said in the ITV documentary, "Harry & Meghan: An African Journey," while in Botswana raising awareness for African wildlife conservation. "There are a lot of things to be done. There's a lot of problems here, but there's also huge potential solutions."

In photos from a 2017 trip to Botswana, Meghan wore an elephant hair bracelet while highlighting the conservation work of Elephants Without Borders. Elephant bracelets are traditionally made with real elephant hair, but today are more often made with wire and beads. Meghan's appeared to be made of silver wire, but either way, the bracelet is believed to bring good luck, health and prosperity.
