Meghan Markle named the most powerful dresser in the world: See her best looks ever

The Markle Sparkle continues!

The Duchess of Sussex has been named the world's most powerful dresser of 2019, according to Lyst's year-end report. The fashion search engine compiled fashion data and search trends for the past year and found that the royal had the biggest influence on its fashion-related searches, sales, news coverage and social media mentions.

Meghan outranked stars like Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Billie Eilish and Cardi B as most influential, with a 216 percent increase in searches for her looks over the past year.

It's no surprise that search trends for the duchess have spiked following her biggest sartorial moments, especially surrounding her royal tours. Markle expertly blends high fashion designers -- with brands like Givenchy, Brandon Maxwell, Carolina Herrera and Burberry being some of her favorites -- with more affordable brands like J.Crew, Madewell and Club Monaco.

In particular, the $289 Club Monaco Dremah silk dress she wore during her royal tour of Africa in October nearly broke the internet, sold out in literal hours and caused a massive 570 percent spike in searches after the duchess' engagement. The 10-day visit to the continent was also met with a 45 percent increase in searches for shirt dresses after Meghan wore 5 different styles during her visit.

Lyst's annual report also concluded that the year's biggest movements for fashion included sustainability and inclusivity, two causes that the duchess has been known to support.
