Meet the Georgia freshman QB with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee already lined up

He may only be a freshman, but quarterback Julian Lewis is already catching the attention of the college football world.

Lewis, who impressed NFL players at a camp in 2021 at 14-years-old, holds 20 offers from schools including Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Georgia, among others.

Also know as "Ju Ju," he has backed up the hype early on. In his first game as a high schooler for Carrollton High (Ga.), the 6-foot-1, 175-pounder, completed 17-of-27 passes for 288 yards and five touchdowns.

He led the Trojans to a 69-7 road victory over Gadsden City on Friday in Gadsden.

"I wouldn't be able to do what I did without my offensive line and receivers," he said. "At the end of the day, it's them."

Lewis' first game was not perfect. He did throw an interception in the end zone, one where Gadsden City's Steven Jones made a great play to wrestle the ball away from the Trojan receiver.

Lewis took the blame upon himself.

"I could have put the ball higher," he said. "I could have made it a lot easier for the receiver as well."

While most freshmen aren't thinking about where they'll be playing college ball, where he may end up has been a hot topic for Lewis.

But he said he tries to tune it all out, especially with all the hype surrounding him.

"It hasn't been that bad," Lewis said. "It got pretty serious pretty fast. It's kind of cooled down during the season."

Carrollton coach Joey King said Lewis has remained humble despite the hype. He said the coaches treat him just like any other player to keep him level-headed.

"I don't think about it too much," Lewis said. "I think I am like everyone else. I'm just here to play football."
