Massillon moves up in AP high school football state poll; Lake drops; Alliance appears
The Massillon Tigers moved back up to No. 3 in this week's Associated Press high school football Division II state poll, released Monday afternoon.
The 6-1 Tigers had dropped from No. 3 into a three-way tie for fourth last week. Also in D2, Lake dropped three spots after suffering its first loss of the season on Friday to Canton McKinley.
Alliance makes its second appearance this season in the Division III poll. The Aviators host West Branch (ranked eighth in Division IV) this week in a huge Eastern Buckeye Conference game. Both high-scoring teams enter Friday on a six-game winning streak.
