Mass testing in Shanghai resumes
STORY: Hundreds of demonstrators and police clashed in Shanghai on Sunday night (November 27) for a third day as similar protests spread to several cities in the wake of a deadly fire in Urumqi, the capital city of the Xinjiang region.
Videos of the incident posted on social media had led to accusations that stringent lockdowns were a factor in the blaze that killed 10 people.
Shanghai reported 20 symptomatic cases and 158 asymptomatic cases for Monday (November 28), compared with 16 symptomatic cases and 128 asymptomatic cases the day before, the local health authority reported.
