Martha Stewart shared a tribute to her friend, talk show legend Larry King, following the news of his passing this weekend by reposting a fond memory where she revealed that they once went on a "dinner date" together.

In her first post about Larry on Instagram, Martha shared a sweet photo of the pair posing together and called him "the iconic “people person”, a very excellent interviewer and a hell of a guy!!!!"

In a follow-up post on Instagram a few days later, as previously reported on by PEOPLE, Martha said that she and Larry "were friends and I was interviewed by him many times. It was fun to turn the tables once or twice and i interviewed him a couple of times on my show! Please watch." Along with that caption, she also posted a clip from when Larry appeared on her show, The Martha Stewart Show. In the clip, she called him "the king of talk and a good friend of mine."

"I have a secret to reveal: We actually went out on a dinner date. I thought it was a business date, but turned out it was sort of a dinner date," she explained in the clip with a smile to laughs from the audience. The clip then shows Larry walking out to do an interview on her show.

Larry died on Saturday in Los Angeles, The New York Times reported this weekend. A cause of death was not made public. He was 87.
