Celtics rule out two players prior to hosting Trail Blazers originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston
The Boston Celtics will be without their starting point guard for a sixth straight game Friday night, as well as another one of their rotational players.
Marcus Smart, who hasn't played since Jan. 10, will miss the game at TD Garden against the Portland Trail Blazers for what the team is calling "return to competition conditioning."

Boston is 3-5 without Smart this season, although all three wins have come over the five-game span he's recently missed. Dennis Schroder has been starting at point guard without Smart.
Nesmith is missing his second straight game for the Celtics (23-23), who'll look to get back above .500 against the struggling Blazers (18-26). Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. on NBC Sports Boston.
