Man Turns Himself in After Firing Gun in Busy Tulsa Intersection

A man was jailed after he fired several shots at another driver in the middle of a busy intersection in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on January 13.

The incident was captured on video by Michelle Oliva-Medrano, who said she began to record because she thought a fistfight was about to happen.

“It happened so fast,” she told Storyful. “The suspect left his car unattended and went to go yell at the other guy. Before you know it, the light is green and the man inside takes off. The suspect takes out a handgun and begins shooting the fleeing car. I saw the back windshield shatter,” Oliva-Medrano said.

The Tulsa Police Department said on Facebook that the shooter turned himself in on January 16 and was jailed on charges including assault and battery, and shooting with intent to kill. Credit: Michelle Oliva-Medrano via Storyful
