Man fatally shot in Maple Shade parking lot, prosecutors say

A Maple Shade man was shot to death Sunday night in the parking lot of the apartment complex where he lived, the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office said Monday.

Maple Shade Police were called to Fox Meadow apartments just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday for reports of shots fired. They discovered Ezekiel Sanders, 32, on Gardenia Drive suffering from gunshot wounds. Sanders was taken by ambulance to Jefferson Hospital in Cherry Hill where he died a short time later.

Investigators believe Sanders was shot by occupants of a vehicle that sped away from the scene after the shooting. No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to call Burlington County Central Communications at 609-265-7113, or email tips@mapleshadepd.com or tips@co.burlington.nj.us.
