Nashville police arrested a 34-year-old man weeks after a 30-year-old was found shot outside a South Nashville billiard hall.

Jose Claros-Barahona was charged with criminal homicide and taken into custody Tuesday in connection with the death of Jesus Alberta Lara Munoz-Bonillia.

Munoz-Bonillia was found about 9:45 a.m. Feb. 27 in the driver's seat of his car outside the billiard hall in the 1000 block of Murfreesboro Pike. He'd suffered several gunshot wounds and police said they believed he'd died between midnight and 1 a.m.

Witnesses told police that Claros-Barahona had a gun and was seen near Munozs-Bonillia's vehicle when shots were fired, Metro Nashville Police said Tuesday. Carlos-Barahona allegedly said that he fired shots to scare off the victim, police reported.

Claros-Barahona was taken into custody at his home, MNPD said.
