Man, 76, killed in wreck in rural Washington

WASHINGTON – An Indiana man died Saturday after a two-vehicle accident in rural Washington, the Tazewell County Coroner's Office reported Monday.

Coroner Charles Hanley said his office was called to the intersection of U.S. Route 24 and Dee-Mack Road in rural Washington for a two-vehicle accident involving a fatality.

The accident occurred around 7:54 p.m.

James Bachman, 76, of Fishers, Indiana, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:20 p.m.

An autopsy on Monday indicated the cause of death was from multiple blunt force injuries due to the motor vehicle collision.
