It's a good year for Carroll County high school boys basketball.

Malvern moves back into the top 10 in Division III and Carrollton makes its first appearance in Division II in this week's Associated Press Ohio boys high school basketball poll.

The Hornets (16-1, 10-0) are coming off a great weekend, clinching at least a share of the Inter-Valley Conference North Division title on Friday night, then turning around and beating a quality Hannibal River team on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, the Warriors won their 14th straight game with a home victory vs. Salem on Friday. Carrollton (16-2, 7-1) can earn at least a share of the Eastern Buckeye Conference title by beating West Branch and Minerva this week.

On the girls side, Marlington (16-2, 8-1) drops one spot after falling in an EBC showdown with Salem on Wednesday. The Dukes still can clinch at least a share of the league title by beating Alliance this week.
