Mad Bets: Pats over Ravens was big for Vegas in Week 10

Minty Bets is joined by the Director of Trading for MGM Resorts, Jeff Stoneback, to discuss the top winners and losers from NFL Week 10.

MINTY BETS: It's time for winners and losers of week 10, everyone. I'm here with Director of Trading of MGM Resorts Jeff Stoneback. Jeff, who or the winners of the house this week?

JEFF STONEBECK: Well, there weren't very many winners. We only really had three games that were significant wins for us, but those carried us over the top and made the bettors, losers for the day. Third week in a row that the books have beat the bettors.

So the big one was the Ravens getting beat by the Patriots. That was a really big game for us. We had taken like a $280,000 moneyline bet on the Ravens, a $230,000 bet on the Ravens minus 6 and 1/2. They bought half a point. So that game carried the day.

Some other winners for us-- the other two winners, kind of quirky games, is the Texans covering against the Browns. We thought that was a loser as Nick Chubbs running down the sideline. But fortunately, he decides to step out of bounds at the 1-yard line.

And then the Bills covering against the Cardinals-- Cardinals take a knee on the extra point. So that wins it for us. So very odd wins for us overall, but those three wins carried us for the day.

MINTY BETS: Yes, very odd endings. And who are the winners for the bettors? The public?

JEFF STONEBECK: The public did well on the late games. It was kind of an odd schedule. There was five early games and six late games. So the favorites went 5 and 1 on those late games. So those favorites, losers for us, was the Saints game was a loser. The Dolphins-- we had somebody who had $100,000 on the Dolphins.

Buccaneers over the Panthers-- that was a morning game. That was a loser for us. And then the Raiders-- even though that game opened 4 and 1/2 and closed 3 and 1/2-- that was a loss for us as we'd also had somebody bet $230,000 on the Raiders. So those were the four big losers for the house today.
