Minty Bets, Jared Quay & Matt Gothard debate whether you should fade the Cowboys for the rest of the 2020 NFL season.

Video Transcript

MINTY BETS: The Dallas Cowboys are 0 and 6 against the spread. Things aren't looking good for them. They got blown out by the Cardinals last week. I'm gonna go to Jared first because I think Jared here has lost more money on the Cowboys than we know of, and he's currently licking the stamp to send that invoice to Jerry Jones as we speak. Jared, are they gonna win any more games or are they going to go winless?

JARED QUAY: Let me start by saying, Jerry Jones, you owe me money, man. This is BS, all right?

I'll go out on a limb. I'm gonna say that the Cowboys are singlehandedly saving Vegas. Vegas took a big hit with COVID, and the Cowboys are like, we're gonna get that money back for you, bro. Because they are literally losing every game by the spread. It's not even close.

Now I'm gonna be honest with you. This isn't the same Cowboys team that I used to love betting on. They have a terrible defense. Their offensive line can't block anything. And Ezekiel Elliott only wants like 15 carries. I don't know if they're great.

But the same thing said is they're in the NFC East. The NFC East is the worst division. They're actually still the favorites to win the division. I don't think we should get overboard and say that they're a terrible team just yet. They might go to the playoffs with like a 6 and 10 record.

So I think they're gonna win a couple of games, starting with this weekend. Andy Dalton is not terrible. We've seen him play before. They just got to protect him a little bit better and try to find a way to get CeeDee Lamb some sweeps where he don't have to actually do anything but run the football with his feet. That's my opinion.

MINTY BETS: All right, I like that. Matt, how about you? What do you think? Who are they gonna win against?

MATT GOTHARD: You know, I had a whole thing prepared about Sunday Night Football in a couple of weeks that I was gonna talk about. But hearing Jared talk, I all of a sudden realize I need to say something. The Cowboys are probably the worst team to bet on in the NFL for the remainder of this season because of this.

They're gonna play all these teams in the NFC East, and everybody hates the NFC East. They hate the Washington Football Team, they hate the Giants, they hate the Eagles. And the problem with the Cowboys is they have too many big names on offense. They have Zeke, they have CeeDee Lamb, even Andy Dalton is a household name that people think they want to rally around. But the problem is that defense is so bad, you can't just fix that defense.

But because of these big names, I think the market's gonna constantly still favor the Cowboys in these games. And I don't know if they're actually ever gonna have any value for being such a depleted team. If this team is a different team, say this is the Jaguars and they're having the same amount of problems, there's no way they're gonna be favored in the games that the Cowboys would be because the public, even though I love the public, loves the Cowboys.

MINTY BETS: Wow.

JARED QUAY: Wow.

MINTY BETS: So serious. Yeah.

JARED QUAY: I don't know if you guys can put the videos. I've seen so many videos of Dallas Cowboys fans losing their [BLEEP]. Beep me out if you need to. But it is sad to see grown men crying and breaking TVs because of you, Jerry Jones. All right, Minty, what do you got to say?

MINTY BETS: Sad stuff. Yeah, you know what, Jared, I actually think that they might have a chance to win against the Washington Football Team. They play twice against each other this season. I think if they don't win this upcoming week, then they certainly should win Thanksgiving weekend.

MATT GOTHARD: Can I just bring up the point, though, like look at the Jets. The Jets are so bad, and they're gonna get 21, probably 24 points against the Chiefs in a couple of weeks. But you don't see the same market happening for the Cowboys. The Cowboys just got--

JARED QUAY: Gothard.

MATT GOTHARD: --blown out by Arizona.

JARED QUAY: Gothard.

MATT GOTHARD: And all of a sudden, they're only 1 point--

JARED QUAY: I hate to cut you off like this is a reality TV show, but don't you compare the Jets to the Cowboys. We're not doing that on this show, all right? That is two different discussions, and we're not gonna do that.

I mean, maybe coaching. Mike McCarthy and Adam Gase may have similarities, but Cowboys are a much better team than the Jets. We can end the show because, Gothard, you're not gonna do that. We're not gonna finish the show with you comparing the Jets to the Cowboys.

MATT GOTHARD: I've said all I need to say.
