MØ Drops New EP Dødsdrøm, Shares Video for “Spaceman”: Stream

Earlier this year, Danish pop singer released the album Motordrome. Now, she’s followed it up with the EP Dødsdrøm, a collection of singles and B-sides that includes the new song “Spaceman.” Watch the video for the track below.

The songs on Dødsdrøm span MØ’s career, from her early days fronting the punk band MOR to the Motordrome sessions. A press release describes the project, like the album before it, as a soundtrack to MØ’s anxieties as an anarchist artist trying to fit into the pop sphere.

Those conflicting interests come to a head on “Spaceman.” Produced by Max Martin, the track fires on all cylinders right out of the gate, interpolating the “I always wanted you to go into space” hook from Babylon Zoo’s song of the same name before MØ’s soulful voice takes over.

Dødsdrøm is out now and, along with “Spaceman,” features MØ’s previously released single “True Romance.” Back in January, MØ broke down Motordome for us track-by-track, and then we caught up with her for an interview at Mad Cool Festival.
