Luzerne County online player wins $4M Mega Millions® prize

Jan. 19—LUZERNE COUNTY — The Pennsylvania Lottery Wednesday announced that is has awarded its largest online prize ever to a player from Luzerne County — Mega Millions® awarded an online player $4 million.

The prize that was won on Tuesday, Jan. 18.

The ticket matched all five white balls drawn — 4-19-39-42-52 — but not the yellow Mega Ball, 9, to win the $4 million prize, less applicable withholding. It was sold with the $1 Megaplier® option, which boosted the prize to $4 million instead of $1 million, because the multiplier drawn was four.

More than 35,600 other PA Lottery Mega Millions® tickets won prizes of various amounts in the drawing, including more than 8,600 tickets purchased with Megaplier®.

There was no jackpot-winning ticket sold for the Jan. 18 Mega Millions® drawing, which boosted the jackpot to a $376 million annuity value, or $256.4 million cash.

The next Mega Millions® drawing will be held Friday, Jan. 21.
