'Love Island' winner Amber Gill rumoured to appear on 'Dancing on Ice'
Love Island winner Amber Gill has reportedly signed on for the upcoming series of Dancing on Ice.
Having just bagged £25,000 after winning the hugely-popular dating show with Greg O’Shea, the 22-year-old Geordie is set to be paired with a professional, lace-up her skates and compete against other celebrities to impress the judges and take home the trophy.

“The Dancing On Ice casting team are delighted with the decision to snap up Amber,” a source told The Sun Online. “Love Island contestants always do really well on the series as they are still fresh in everyone’s minds.”
Gill follows in the footsteps of reality stars Kem Cetinay - who won Love Island with Amber Davis in 2017 - and Wes Nelson, who came in fourth with then-partner Megan Barton Hanson in last year’s series.
“Amber is a stunning girl and they know she’ll look fabulous in all the sequinned costumes,” the insider continued. “She has a gutsy personality, too, so will make excellent viewing.”
It’s worth noting though, that an ITV spokesperson told OK! Online that “it is too early to confirm any of the participants for the 2020 series of Dancing on Ice.” So Gill’s involvement is just a rumour at this stage.
Yahoo News UK have reached out to ITV for comment.
Regardless of whether she will end up taking part or not, the news comes just days after plans to produce a Love Island spin-off show centred on Gill and Irish rugby player O’Shea were cancelled.
Other fan-favourite couples that have gone on to present their own documentary series include last year’s winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham and 2018 runners-up Chris Hughes and Olivia Atwood.
“It’s been a publicity disaster in previous years, when couples split before their show aired or appeared to get back together just as the programmes came out,” a source explained to The Sun.

“Jack and Dani’s series was a perfect example last year, with everyone saying their relationship was fake.
“This year bosses want to take the heat off the contestants’ relationships, especially as it’s been such a choppy year for couples making a go of it.”
