Kaleb Glenn had 22 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Male High School boys basketball team to a 73-68 victory over visiting Covington Catholic on Saturday in a battle between two of the state’s top squads.

Glenn, a junior who has committed to the University of Louisville, hit 3 of 4 3-point tries to help Male (16-3) – ranked No. 3 in the state by The Associated Press – run its winning streak to 10.

The Bulldogs avenged a 68-56 loss to Covington Catholic on Dec. 20 in the semifinals of the King of the Bluegrass Holiday Classic at Fairdale.

In Saturday’s rematch, No. 2 CovCath (17-3) led 16-11 after the first quarter and 31-28 at halftime before Male rallied in the second half.

Dez Lindsay had 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists for Male. Jack Edelen (14 points) and Demetrius White (13) also scored in double figures. Male shot 54.2% (26 of 48).

Evan Ipsaro had 28 points and six assists to lead the Colonels.
