Louise Redknapp delays the release of her comeback album 'Heavy Love'

Louise Redknapp has delayed the release of her comeback album ‘Heavy Love’ due to her West End commitments.

The singer recently shared a lengthy message on Instagram, telling her fans she’ll be pushing the album back by three months.

Redknapp is currently touring Dolly Parton’s musical 9-5, and she says her schedule will cause her to miss “key promotional opportunities” in the build up to her album’s launch.

"To all my incredible fans, old and new, who've supported me in pre-ordering my new album Heavy Love,” she began the post.

"Due to clashes between my 9-5 touring schedule in October, and the fact that it means missing key promotional opportunities around the launch of the album; my record company has asked me to push back the album release date a little.”

Admitting that she was devastated about “letting anyone down”, she went on to say that she is fully committed to its release and showing it off to its “fullest potential”.

"This has not been an easy decision and I hate to let anyone down,” she wrote. Heavy Love has been two years in the making with blood, sweat and (a lot!) of tears and so I want to fully commit to its release and showing it off to to its fullest potential.

“With this in mind it feels like the right thing to do.”

Redknapp went on to thank her fans, and as a token of her appreciation for their support, revealed that one of her new songs ‘Break Back Together’ will be available to download on Friday.

She finished by adding: "The new release date for the album is the 17th of January 2020. I look forward to giving my all to the album and to you, my fans.
