Lorraine Kelly celebrates 28th wedding anniversary to cameraman husband Steve Smith

Lorraine Kelly celebrated her 28th wedding anniversary with a series of social media posts featuring photos of her and husband Steve Smith.

Though she is one of the most recognisable faces on daytime television, cameraman Smith is rarely seen in the public eye, with the couple preferring to keep their lifestyle private.

But Kelly treated her 379,000 Instagram followers to some private photos to mark the special day.

One image showed the couple enjoying a meal at The Ivy on their anniversary.

She captioned the photo: "A lovely lunch as a present from @rosiekellysmith at #theivymarlowgarden to celebrate our anniversary. Just perfect xxxx."

Kelly also posted a photo from the couple’s wedding day in 1992.

She wrote: "So this happened 28 years ago! Happy anniversary to my husband Steve who makes me laugh and is always in my corner. #anniversary#love#happy.”

Their daughter Rosie also posted a picture of the couple. "My faves, Happy Anniversary," she wrote.

Kelly has previously spoken about her marriage to Smith, revealing the secrets behind a successful marriage - having your own interests, respect, and giving each other space.

She told the Daily Express last year: "I think we make time to talk. We like each other, and he makes me laugh. We give each other space.

She added: “One of the best things is that my husband, Steve, does all of the cooking.”

"We have our own interests as well as enjoying doing things together. That keeps us interested and interesting. We respect each other."

Kelly had been enjoying a lengthy summer break from her hosting duties on her ITV show Lorraine.

She made her long-awaited return last week, with studio guests including Amanda Holden, Louis Theroux and Brian Cox.
