Feb. 25—District 3 Class 3A Championships

When, where: Saturday, 9 a.m., Spring Grove High School.

Who's competing: Top top two finishers in each weight class from District 3's four sectional tournaments.

At stake: Top top three finishers in each weight class advance to the PIAA West Super Regional Saturday, March 6, at Altoona.

Notable: Wilson senior 215-pounder Josh Harkless is the only returning Berks wrestler to advance out of last year's District 3 Tournament. He placed third at 189. ... Daniel Boone junior 120-pounder Gavin Richard was a District 3 runner-up in 2019 but missed the postseason last year due to injury.

Class 2A Southeast Regional Tournament

When, where: Saturday, 9 a.m., CD East High School.

Who's competing: Top four finishers from District 3, top 2 finishers from District 11 and top two finishers from districts 1-12.

At stake: Top five finishers in each weight class advance to the PIAA East Super Regional Saturday, March 6, at Martz Hall, Pottsville.

Notable: Brandywine Heights senior 152-pounder Noah Frack, a two-time state medalist, has 99 career wins. ... Hamburg senior 120-pounder Parker Davidson, a PIAA qualifier last season, has 97 career wins. ... Hamburg senior Bailey Gimbor is a three-time state qualifier, twin brother Dalton is a two-time state qualifier and 2019 state medalist, and Hamburg senior Brant Mason is a returning state qualifier. ... Brandywine junior 113-pounder Dillon Reinert is a returning state qualifier.

Class 3A Southeast Regional Tournament

When, where: Saturday, 10 a.m., Council Rock North and Council Rock South high schools. Wrestlers from 106-138 pounds will wrestle at North and wrestlers from 145-285 will wrestle at South.

Who's competing: The top four finishers at each class from the District 1 South and District 1 North tournaments.

At stake: The top four finishers in each weight class advance to the PIAA East Super Regional Saturday, March 6, at Quakertown High School.

Notable: Boyertown senior 120-pounder Jay Maldonado and junior 138-pounder Chance Babb are returning PIAA qualifiers.
