Longmont's Winter Walkabout Music Showcase is back; tickets available

Jan. 21—The Longmont Downtown Development Authority is reviving the Winter Walkabout Music Showcase this year, bringing more than 100 musicians to perform April 9.

The rescheduled showcase will take place from 2 to 9:30 p.m. in downtown Longmont. Tickets are currently available.

The multi-venue indoor music festival will feature 30 performances across 11 downtown venues. Performers will range from up-and-coming teenage artists to well-known regional acts, all based in Colorado.

This year's show was originally planned to return in February but was postponed until April 9 due to the rapid spike in coronavirus cases, according to the release. The showcase last took place in February 2020.

The event will be 100% vaccine verified through Boulder County Public Health, according to the release. Anyone interested in attending will be required to show proof of vaccination at the will-call ticket pickup location before entering any venues or performances. Each attendee will receive a wristband in addition to their ticket upon verifying vaccination status.

Tickets cost $25, but the price will go up leading up to the event. On the day of the show, tickets will be $35. Tickets are all-inclusive, allowing people access to every show.
