Longmont postpones Clean Up, Green Up to fall

Apr. 15—Longmont's Clean Up, Green Up Campaign has been postponed, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The annual campaign seeks to inspire action to keep the city's parks, trails and open space trash free. According to the city's website, the campaign typically kicks off on the first or second Saturday in April. This year, it has been postponed until the fall, according to the webpage.

Following the kick off, people can choose an area they want to focus on or contact a Clean Up, Green Up coordinator to get an assignment, the webpage says. Volunteers can sign up for as many or as few events as they want.

People interested in participating are encouraged to check back on the city's Clean Up, Green Up webpage later to get details on the fall kick off.
