Bre'Amber Scott scored 28 points on Wednesday night to lead the Texas Tech women to a 68-64 win over Texas in Lubbock.

Texas Tech has gone 36-38 since the start of the 2020-21 season, but Krista Gerlich's Lady Raiders have posted a winning record against the Longhorns during that time. In each of those seasons, Texas Tech has upset Texas teams that were ranked 21st, ninth and 25th at the time.

Over his three seasons as the head coach at Texas, Vic Schaefer has compiled a 63-23 record. He is just 2-3 against Texas Tech.

Texas will get a shot at revenge when Texas Tech comes to Austin on Feb. 8. Up next, though, is a trip to Baylor on Sunday. Baylor is the only other Big 12 school that has posted a winning record against Schaefer since he took over at Texas. The Bears are 5-1 against the Schaefer-led Longhorns.
