New London's Landis wins at Ontario

Sep. 25—ONTARIO — New London standout runner Reese Landis won another event on Saturday at the deep Ontario Bill Brown Invitational.

Landis took the top spot in a time of 18:58.47 out of 115 runners as New London was third with 91 points behind Crestview (64) and Shelby (69).

Also for the Wildcats, Alyssa Henry placed 13th in 21:47.21. She was followed by Valery Henry (22:04.74) in 16th and Clara Good (22:24.19) in 21st. Rounding out the New London lineup was Olivia Better (23:58.79) in 40th, Madison Smith (24:52.05) in 51st and Emma McCully (24:56.8) in 53rd.

In the boys race, New London placed ninth as Jalen Randelman (17:56.37) was 22nd and Wyatt Harrison (18:10.27) was 25th. Presley Ferguson (18:47.96) was 36th, followed by Elliot Stroup (20:04.69) in 61st and Mason Cowie (20:07.01) in 62nd.

Shane Speicher (20:07.16) was 63rd and Aiden Ruggles (20:14.8) was 65th for New London.

Monroeville, Western compete at SJCC

FREMONT — The Monroeville boys cross country team placed third on Saturday at the Crimson Streak Invitational at Walsh Park.

Ian Patchen paced the Eagles in 12th overall in 18:28.9. He was followed by Julian Bastardo (21:45.56) in 29th.

For Western Reserve, Sean Murdock (18:16.86) was eighth, Aiden Perez (19:27.47) was 18th, and Robert Murdock (21:49.39) was 28th.

In the girls race, Western's Frankie Hoover (21:52.85) was eighth, followed by Anastin Hoover (23:41.18) and Rylee Weiser (23:48.6) in 20th and 21st, respectively. Katie Woodruff (24:47.45) was 27th.

Monroeville's Isabel Anderson (25:57.8) was 33rd.
