LOCAL SPORTS BRIEFS: Big Diamond postpones races again

Jun. 12—Big Diamond

cancels program

FORESTVILLE — Persistent rain forced the cancellation of Friday's scheduled racing program at Big Diamond Speedway.

The program was the second of the week to be erased after rain forced the postponement of the Short Track Super Series' Anthracite Assault program on Tuesday. The make-up date for that program has yet to be announced.

Big Diamond has lost seven of its 11 scheduled programs so far this season to inclement weather.

Big Diamond will host late models in addition to 358 modifieds, roadrunnes and 602 crate sportsmen next Friday night.
