Coshocton Schools conducting survey

COSHOCTON − Coshocton City Schools is seeking input on its facilities master planning process.

A brief survey is being conducted as part of a larger community engagement effort. The results will be factored into the board of education's decision to pursue a specific facilities master plan for the district. A community forum will also be held as a survey followup.

The survey can be filled out through Dec. 12 at surveymonkey.com/r/coshocton-schools. It can also be found at coshoctoncityschools.com. Printed version can be picked up at the administrative office and the offices of the high school and elementary school.

CRMC opens new clinics

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton Regional Medical Center has opened two new walk-in clinics in Warsaw and Newcomerstown.

The clinics care for patients locally that need to be seen by a medical provider and cannot wait for an appointment. The clinic also creates an option for individuals to seek care that do not have an established primary care provider. A variety of services will be provided for community members with general illnesses and mild injuries.

The Warsaw clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday at 221 Railroad St. The Newcomerstown clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday and Sunday at 6307 E. State St. Dr. Stephanie Richcreek is the medical director of both.

Prince honored

COSHOCTON − Dave Prince of Prince's Wrecker Service was recently honored with the Order of the Towman Award at the American Towman Exposition in Baltimore, Maryland.

He was nominated for the award by Lynn Powelson, fire chief for the Three Rivers Fire District and a part-time worker at Prince's Wrecker.

Prince started driving a wrecker when he was 16. He bought his first tow truck in 1977 and his first garage in 1980. Prince's Wrecker moved to its current home on Fifth Street in 1990.

Program at Chalfant Church

DRESDEN − A carry-in dinner will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 11 at Chalfant Church on County Road 439, Dresden. A Christmas program will follow at 2 p.m.

Community choir preforming in Newcomerstown

Coshocton − The Coshocton Community Choir will perform selections for its "Come, Let Us Adore" Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 11 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 121 S. College St., Newcomerstown.

The 100 voice adult choir performs a mix of sacred and secular Christmas coral music. The concert theme was inspired by focus on the hope and joy of the holy season. A freewill offering will be accepted. Call the church for more information at 740-498-6682.

Coshocton Senior Center events for December

∎Hausey will be played at 1 p.m. every Tuesday. Euchre will be played at 1 p.m. every Friday starting in January.

∎Geri-Fit will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 5 and 19.

∎ The center will be closed on Dec. 9 for employee recognition. It will also be closed Dec. 23 and 26 for Christmas.

∎ A movie matinee of "Elf" will be shown at 1 p.m. Dec. 14.

∎ Merry Christmas Jingo will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 16.

∎ A Christmas craft with the making of paint brush ornaments will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 15.

∎ The River View Junior High School Handbell Players will perform at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 20, prior to the center's annual Christmas dinner.

∎ A birthday party for those celebrating in December will be at noon Dec. 21.

∎ Open house bingo will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 28.

∎Recently recognized with staff service awards were Jessica Jones and Jenny Kempf for five years and Jean Jacobs for 15 years.
