Lobo senior Makuach Maluach named all-Mountain West by media

Mar. 8—University of New Mexico wing Makuach Maluach was named on Monday to the All-Mountain West team as voted on by select media covering the league.

The 6-foot-5 senior was a third team selection to the 15-player all-conference team. He was the only Lobo honored.

Maluach, from Australia but born in South Sudan, is a four-year starter for the Lobos who 15.9 points and 6.2 rebounds this season. He steadily moved up the program's all-time scoring list this season, currently sitting at No. 17 all-time with 1,292 points scored.

A couple weeks ago, I sat down with Maluach for a Talking Grammer podcast conversation about this season and his career memories as a Lobo. Links on how to listen to that podcast can be heard HERE.
