We now live in a day and age where celebs have found their way to TikTok, and honestly, I couldn't be more grateful. It's not common to see someone whip out some choreography in the middle of a high-profile event, so it's entertaining in the sense that we get to see some of our favorite actors and musicians' silly, goofy moods on the internet. Because of this, TikTok has proven time and time again that celebs are just like us.

Selena Gomez and Lizzo are among the app's A-list users and let's just say, their content is gold. They're the reigning celebrity queens of TikTok, respectively, from posting nature's cereal taste tests to lip-syncs of trending sounds.

Selena has been posting tons of videos taking on the latest trends with her 8-year-old sister, Gracie. Their latest TikTok was a duet to one of @bum.bailey's animated videos, which featured none other than Lizzo's song, "Rumors." In the video, Selena and her friend act as the background dancers while Gracie is front and center, and to be honest, she 100% understood the assignment.

Sel's video eventually ended up on Lizzo's For You Page, because the "Juice" singer commented "OK IM DOIN MINES NOW 😆❤️" before posting her take on the trend. Fans anticipated Lizzo's duet to Selena, especially because it's full-circle to the @bum.bailey animation. However, instead of going for a low-key vibe in her living room, Lizzo took the trend to the stage during her live set at Firefly Music Festival in Dover, Delaware.

"So, would you guys want to duet Selena Gomez's TikTok with me?" she asked the crowd. Of course, they said yes and Lizzo went on to record the video in one take.

The duet to Selena's video was only part 1 for Queen Lizzo because she ended up posting another take with her friends at home. Now, that is how you body a trend to your own song.

Selena has yet to respond to Lizzo's duet, but while I wait for it to pop up on my FYP, I might try my hand at @bum.bailey's "Rumors" trend, too.
