Jurgen Klopp must juggle his squad once more as Liverpool battle a tough fixture list and a growing line of injury complains.

James Milner suffered an injury in the 1-1 draw with Brighton this weekend, joining an extensive group of team-mates on the sidelines, with the midfield now joining the defensive line in looking perilously thin.

The Reds need a point in their Champions League group stage game against Ajax on Tuesday to assure themselves of a last-16 spot.

The match kicks off at 8pm on Tuesday, 1 December at Anfield.

What is the team news?

Liverpool’s injury issues continue to mount up, with James Milner going off at the weekend with an apparent hamstring strain. He joins Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Naby Keita, Thiago Alcantara and Trent Alexander-Arnold on the sidelines. Xherdan Shaqiri has also been missing recently, while Nat Phillips is inelligible. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is on his way back but not likely to feature.

Mohammed Kudus is out injured for Ajax, but other than that they have an entirely fit squad to choose from.

Confirmed line-ups

Liverpool XI: Kelleher, N. Williams, Matip, Fabinho, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Jones, Mane, Salah, Jota
