The Green Bay Packers will finish up the second of two joint practices with the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday in Green Bay. Matt LaFleur’s team battled the visiting Saints on the practice field on Tuesday, and they’ll do it again Wednesday before Friday’s preseason game at Lambeau Field.

Follow along below as we provide live updates from the practice on Wednesday:
– Coach Matt LaFleur wasn’t happy with all the pre-snap penalties by the offense during Tuesday’s practice. “Can’t happen.”
– LaFleur stressed the “urgency” of getting mistakes corrected, especially from young players. He said Wednesday will be an important day for some of the young players to bounce back.
– Once again, LaFleur said there will be no one-on-ones between the Packers and Saints during practice on Wednesday.
– LaFleur said Rashan Gary will practice on Wednesday after he was held out for “precautionary” reasons to end practice on Tuesday.
– More right tackle work for Elgton Jenkins during individual drills.
– The Packers released wide receiver Malik Taylor, per Tom Silverstein. Taylor had only just returned from a shoulder injury.
– The new Packers safety is De’Vante Cross. He’s wearing No. 35.
– Receiver Danny Davis (ankle) and cornerback Rico Gafford (ankle) are both out on Wednesday with new injuries. Both are very much on the roster bubble, so time missed is a big deal.
– More big-time disruption from the defense, which dominated the first day.
– It’s time to start considering Kobe Jones for a 53-man roster spot. He was terrific in the preseason opener and keeps making splash plays during the joint practices.
– While the defense might be controlling the action on one end, the Packers offense keeps having issues.
– Yikes. Not the bounce-back performance LaFleur and Aaron Rodgers were hoping for after Tuesday.
– Another big play from Sammy Watkins. He’s making the team, and he’s likely to be a starter. There’s trust building between No. 12 and No. 11.
– Jordan Love throws a couple of touchdown passes with the No. 2 offense.
– While Romeo Doubs and Amari Rodgers are the top punt returners, Christian Watson was with the return group on Wednesday.
– Big play from Saints rookie Chris Olave vs. the coverage of Rasul Douglas.
– Another pressure from rookie Kingsley Enagbare, who has been terrific over the the last week.
– The No. 1 defenses win both two-minute periods. Rodgers was sacked on fourth down to finish the Packers’ attempt. Romeo Doubs caught a pair of passes, and Sammy Watkins got the offense near the red zone, but the march stalled. Kobe Jones helped end the Saints’ attempt.
– Another big play from Jordan Love. Good practice from the backup quarterback. His long touchdown pass to Samori Toure ended the joint practices with a bang for the Packers.
