Class 6A — Columbia Cup

Westview 51, North Salem 22 (final): The Vikings’ season came to an end Friday at Hillsboro Stadium in the Class 6A Columbia Cup final.

Jordan Fisher finished with 417 rushing yards and five touchdowns for Westview, which wins the inaugural OSAA Columbia Cup.

It was a good postseason run for North Salem, which finishes 8-5 in its first season back at the 6A level.

The Vikings were playing Friday without their leading rusher, senior Josiah Davis.

North Salem junior quarterback TC Manumaleuna completed 11 of 26 passes for 265 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.

“Right now it’s tough to have to sit with this loss, I feel really bad for our seniors too,” Manumaleuna said. “I spotted Westview 14 points myself with some bad passes. I know better than putting those bad throws out there.”

Senior receiver Erick Gonzalez had 154 yards and two touchdowns for the Vikings.

North Salem junior Pierce Walker had seven carries for 53 yards and one touchdown.

"In the end, I think we were all happy to get four more games with our team, that was probably the biggest thing that I was proud of for our guys,” Manumaleuna said. “No one expected us to get this far, so just being in this game was a win. Next season we have to get better and bring home a trophy for our Viking family.”
