During the spring season, the Black Knights knocked off the Mountaineers 28-20 in the second round of the playoffs. The programs returned plenty from those teams and have lived up to expectations as two of the top teams in WNC, and they face off Friday for the chance to play for the state championship.

The winner Friday night will play either Tarboro or Pender next Saturday, Dec. 11, at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill.
