Little League Roundup: Synergy Braves edge Parker Brothers Yankees, 9-8

May 27---- Synergy Atlanta Braves 9, Parker Brothers New York Yankees 8 — Maddex Tomko and Owen Carothers combined for an 11-strikeout performance for the Braves.

Max Wilcox, Vinnie Multari, Vito Multari and Carothers all singled for Synergy.

Johnny Kudelko and Byron Geisel pitched the Yankees in the loss.

Joseph Emerich, Luca Squatrito, Gino Squatrito, Josiah Phillips, Kudelko and Geisel all singled for the Yankees.

— Ralph's Barber Shop Mariners 11, Sharpsville DQ Red Sox 0 — Manny Roskos turned in a two-hit, seven-strikeout performance to lead Ralph's Barber Shop to the shutout win.

Stopped only by the daily pitch limit, after 5 2/3 innings Roskos gave way to reliever Max Adkins who closed the victory with a strikeout as the Mariners faced just 21 total batters.

Carter Sump led the way at the plate for the Mariners, fueling a five-run fifth inning with a three-run inside-the-park homer, and adding a double among his three hits and four RBIs.

Luke Adkins also had three hits and two RBI in the win, starting the scoring in the first inning with an RBI double to left-center field.

Noah Knicely doubled and singled, Kyan Cornelius singled twice, Theron Anderson doubled and Roskos helped his cause with an RBI triple on a 12-hit day for Ralph's.

Zayden Musch's leadoff single in the first and infield single in the sixth were the lone hits for Sharpsville Dairy Queen. Levi Mabry (2 1/3 innings pitched) and Musch (3 2/3 innings pitched, eight strikeouts) pitched for DQ.

— Penn-Ohio Roofing Cubs 22, Ross Aviation Whitesox 9 — The Ross Aviation White Sox jumped out to an early lead going up 7-2 after two innings. It was back and forth after that with the Cubs rallying in the fifth inning.

John Perriello led Penn-Ohio Roofing Cubs by going 2-for-5 at the plate. The Cubs had five players with multiple hits. Landen Hassel, John Perriello, Ben Bissell, Anthony Heutsche and Ivan Metro all tallied two hits on the day. Perriello led the way with five RBIs.

Westin Breit and Jacob Vassen both recorded two hits as well with Vassen also driving in two runs for the Ross Aviation White Sox.

Colton Derr started on the mound for Penn-Ohio Roofing Cubs followed by Perriello, and Ivan Metro to close out the game.

Cooper Nelson started the game for Ross Aviation Whitesox going 2 1/3 innings, allowing two hits and striking out four batters. Westin Breit, Jacob Vassen, and Olaf Haroldson each contributed in relief for Ross Aviation Whitesox.
