If you weren’t hyped for ESPN’s 10-part documentary series on the Chicago Bulls dynasty during the 1990s and their final championship run in 1998, perhaps the trailer they released on Christmas Eve will help.

This objectively feels like appointment viewing when the documentary drops in June:

Beyond the sheer compelling concept of the story — there have to be so many secrets from the decade of dominance that are out there — the documentary is expected to feature unseen footage that is finally coming to light.

Who isn’t in this?

Now, let’s talk about the collection of interviews that the filmmakers managed to corral. Of course there’s the standard cast of characters like Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Phil Jackson. But there are also players who competed against that team like Charles Barkley, Magic Johnson, Gary Payton, Isiah Thomas and Patrick Ewing.

And there are also celebrities who are going to make a cameo. Justin Timberlake. Carmen Electra. Nas. Barack Obama. Like, can we discuss how they just got the 44th president to casually sit down and talk about the team he grew up watching in Chicago?

There have been a plethora of features and documentaries focusing on the Bulls dynasty, and countless opinion stories and talking heads yelling about it. But this series is expected to show us something new and give us a new perspective on one of the most impressive teams in sports history.
