Lego has a new Porsche 911 model kit with a twist, the company announced Thursday. Builders will be able to choose whether they build a 911 Turbo or an open-top 911 Targa.

The 1458-piece kit will come with two sets of directions, allowing the buyer to decide whether the finished model will be Porsche iconic open-top, glass-roof cruiser or the company's hardcore fixed-roof supercar. And even though both designs use the same pieces, doesn't mean they'll be overly similar. From the release:

Several features which are unique to the 911 Turbo and 911 Targa variants of the set ensure they are equally characterful but distinct when built. The Lego Porsche 911 Turbo sports distinctive Turbo badging, a wide rear axle, turbocharger and intercooler, denoting its blistering performance credentials. Its athletic look is completed with an integrated rear spoiler.

Meanwhile, the Lego Porsche 911 Targa’s roof is fully removable and can be stowed underneath the hood of the car. The iconic Targa Bar completes the look, along with Targa badging and a brick-built wraparound rear window.

Both cars receive a complete interior with 2+2 seating arrangements, tilting front seats, a shifter, a handbrake, and functional steering.

“As we were designing the car, the hardest decision to make was whether we would make the Turbo or Targa variant of the car," Lego Group design master Mike Psiaki said in a statement. "It was such a tough call that we engineered the ability to build the Lego Porsche 911 Turbo and Targa from a single set. Without doubt, fans of the 911 all over the world who have long admired these cars will love the opportunity to build both versions.”

Lego says members of its VIP loyalty program will be able to purchase the kit, which retails for $149.99, through its website starting February 16, 2021. The very first buyers will also receive a "Lego Porsche owners pack" with their purchase, which includes a certificate of ownership, an official Lego Porsche card wallet, and a set of four art prints based on period-correct Porsche 911 advertisements. The kit will become available to everyone on Lego.com and at Lego stores starting March 1.
