Legion Baseball: Glenwood-Lowry edges Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, 4-3

Jun. 15—GLENWOOD — An RBI single by Aaron Ver Steeg in the bottom of the fifth inning gave Glenwood-Lowry the edge it needed in a 4-3 American Legion baseball victory over Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa.

Ver Steeg finished 2-for-3 with a three-run home run in the bottom of the first. Mitchell Gruber was 3-for-3 with a double and two runs for Glenwood-Lowry.

Darion Alexander got the win after striking out nine over six innings. Ver Steeg followed up with a scoreless seventh to get the save.

Gavin Kampsen was BBE's top hitter, going 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Will Van Beck took the loss after tossing all six innings.
