One of the most coveted moments minted by NBA Top Shot has sold at auction for nearly $400,000.

The moment — a highlight of LeBron James dunking on a fast-break with a finishing move reminiscent of the late Kobe Bryant, who had died less than a month earlier in a helicopter crash along with eight others — was secured for $387,600 through Heritage Auctions. It's a record for a Top Shot auction.

Adding to the value of the moment — a Series 1 "From The Top" Dunk — is the rarity of mints (59). The moment number is 3.

Auctions have become an increasingly popular place for Top Shot collectors to acquire moments, especially as marketplace values have stagnated or declined after an initial boom in late January into early February.

Since Heritage held its first Top Shot auction in February, the auction house has sold 19 Top Shots for $612,972; 11 moments went for $542,340 in the bidding that ended Thursday night.
