9:22 p.m.
Interstate 90 westbound is reopened following a multiple vehicle crash. The roadway had been closed from Exit 32 (Route 290, Wesleyville) to Exit 29 (Route 8, Hammett/Parade Street).
7:15 p.m.
The Urban Erie Community Development Corp/EF Smith Quality of Life Learning Center, 2046 E. 19th St., will be closed on Tuesday. It is expected that the center will be open on Wednesday for COVID-19 testing from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and adult education classes on Wednesday.
6:58 p.m.
Speed and vehicle restrictions have been lifted on the Interstate 79 in Mercer, Crawford, and Erie counties. Similar restrictions on Interstate 80 in Mercer and Venango counties were lifted earlier Monday.
Vehicle restrictions have been lifted on Interstate 86 and Interstate 90 in Erie County. A speed reduction of 45 mph remains in place on those highways, and commercial vehicles must use the right lane only.

5:14 p.m.
Interstate 90 westbound is closed from Exit 32 (Route 290, Wesleyville) to Exit 29 (Route 8, Hammett/Parade Street) because of a multiple-vehicle crash. The roadway will reopen once the crash is cleared.
3:34 p.m.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has lifted the speed restrictions on Interstates 80 and 376 in Mercer and Venango counties. Vehicle restrictions were lifted on those highways earlier Monday.

PennDOT has lifted the vehicle restrictions on Interstate 80 in Mercer and Venango counties. Speed restrictions remain in place.
12:02 p.m.
Millcreek Township Office of Emergency Management: There is no on-street parking in the township during snow events to allow the Streets Department to clear the roadways.
11:59 a.m.
Robert Benjamin Wiley Community Charter School will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 18.
11:45 a.m.
Millcreek Township School District will operate on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, Jan. 18.

Community Blood Bank will close at 1 p.m. Monday and plans to reopen at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

A winter storm warning remains in place for Erie and Crawford counties until 1 a.m. Tuesday.
The National Weather Service office in Cleveland forecasts additional lake-effect snow of 4 inches to 8 inches into Monday night. Northwest winds gusting as high as 35 mph will lead to blowing and drifting of snow.

At Erie International Airport, American Airlines Flight 5715's planned arrival from Charlotte at 2:51 p.m. is delayed. So is its expected return flight, which was scheduled to depart at 3:21 p.m.
American Flight 5068's scheduled departure at 5:50 a.m. also was delayed.

More than a foot of snow had fallen in parts of the Erie region by sunrise on Monday, according to the latest reports that local snow spotters issued to the National Weather Service in Cleveland.
The agency posted the latest snowfall reports on the NWS Cleveland website at 7:29 a.m. Monday. Twelve-hour snowfall totals reported from Erie County included 16 inches near Cherry Hill in western Erie County, 15 inches near McKean, and 12 inches in Harborcreek Township
The total amount of snowfall on the ground, according to spotter reports, included 10 inches near Edinboro and 9 inches near Erie.
In Crawford County, 5.5 inches of snow was reported in Cochranton.

7:30 a.m.
Emergency dispatchers in Erie and Crawford counties reported dealing with a number of snow-related calls on Monday morning, but no major issues.
Erie police reported that officers were handling numerous calls concerning stuck vehicles.
Reported snowfall totals were scant Monday morning. The latest reports that NWS Cleveland posted on its website at 2:40 a.m. Monday included 12-hour snowfall reports of 7 inches near Wattsburg and 3 inches in Meadville and Cambridge Springs.
Much more snow had fallen in some areas of the Erie region by 7 a.m. Monday, with some unofficial reports of up to a foot of snow in some spots.
7:23 a.m.
PennDOT urges motorists to avoid unnecessary travel. Those who must head out will see speeds reduced to 45 mph on the following highways:
Interstate 90
Interstate 79
Interstate 80
Interstate 86
Interstate 376

Tier 3 vehicle restrictions are in place on the entire length of I-79 in Mercer, Crawford and Erie counties, and the entire length I-86 and I-90 in Erie County. On roadways with Tier 3 restrictions in place, no commercial vehicles are permitted except loaded single trailers with chains or approved Alternate Traction Devices. Additionally, all school buses, commercial buses, motor coaches, motorcycles, RVs/motorhomes and passenger vehicles (cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, etc.) towing trailers are not permitted on affected roadways while restrictions are in place.

A winter storm warning remains in place in Erie and Crawford counties until Tuesday at 1 a.m.
The National Weather Service office in Cleveland forecast calls for 11 inches to 14 inches of heavy snow through around 11 a.m., followed by additional lake-effect snow accumulating 4 inches to 8 inches through Monday night. Travel is difficult to impossible in many places Monday morning.

Forecast: Heavy, wet snow - as much as 18 inches - could fall on Erie County by Monday night
6:52 a.m.
All campus operations at Penn State Behrend are suspended until 10 a.m. Monday. Only essential personnel should report before then. There are no classes at Behrend on Monday because of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.
Warren County School District on Sunday declared Monday a snow day
6:29 a.m.
Most Erie Times-News carriers are unable to deliver on Monday because of weather and road conditions. Some newspapers will be delivered late, some with Tuesday's editions.

Odd/even parking remains in effect in Erie
The City of Erie and the Erie Parking Authority's winter parking regulations remain in effect on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
These regulations allow plow trucks to better clear neighborhood streets. Winter parking regulations permit parking on only one side of the street depending on the day of the week. Affected streets are posted with signs designating odd-even parking.

Meadville administrative offices closed
City of Meadville administrative offices and facilities will be closed to the public on Monday. EMS and Public Works Streets Department are on duty. In case of a public safety emergency, call 911. For non-emergency services, call the Meadville City Police Department at 814-724-6100.
