Here are latest election results for Lexington races including mayor, council seats, more

Polls across Fayette County are closed and election workers now start the task of tabulating each ballot.

In Lexington, candidates across a variety of races are battling for offices like mayor, council member, sheriff and circuit court judge.

Herald-Leader reporters are tracking these races and will provide results throughout the night as they are available from the Fayette County Clerk’s office.

In the nonpartisan mayor’s race, the top two vote-getters move onto the November general election to decide a winner.

The top six at-large candidates also move on to the General Election, where the top vote-getter there will win Vice Mayor and the next two finishers will become at-large councilmembers.

All other races listed below are non-partisan and decided in the primary.
